Here's what last year's winner did with
part of his prize:

David Donohue, of Hooksett, NH, was introduced to the Hope Alzheimer’s Center through a friend connected with the organization. Though he lives out of state, he supports Alzheimer’s causes as a tribute to his late grandmother who was afflicted with the disease.

“I never expected to win, but we feel truly blessed that we did. Win or lose, supporting an organization like Hope Alzheimer’s Center is important because your donation helps make a better life possible for the people they care for – people who have raised families, built lives, and dreamed of a future that this terrible disease stole from them and their loved ones.”

Self-described as the definition of frugal, David decided to use part of his $10,000 winnings to take a special family vacation to a Mexican resort. “My wife and I grew up in hard-working families and NEVER took trips during vacation weeks, so this was a big deal for us.” The Donohues swam with dolphins, zip-lined, explored underwater caves, and found some time to relax.
